Dr. Davenport grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from Smith College. She received her MD degree from Tufts University, and completed her ObGyn residency at University of California, San Diego. She underwent training as a medical consultant in NaproTechnology (Natural Procreative Technology) at Pope Paul VI Institute, emphasizing therapies for infertility and hormonal problems in harmony with the human body. This was a life changing experience for her. Recently she received a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of South Florida, and is currently undergoing further training in functional medicine. She has lectured widely in the U.S. and Internationally on infertility therapies, natural and ethical approaches to reproductive health care, abortion reversal and complications, maternal mortality, nutrition, and bioethics. She is a Board member of the California Institute of Natural Family Planning, Breast Cancer Prevention Institute, Maternal Life International, Instructor at the Maris Stella Institute, Fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and past president of AAPLOG, the American Association of ProLife Obstetricians and Gynecologists. With others, she is a developer and author on medical abortion reversal. She founded Magnificat Maternal Health Program to combat maternal mortality in central Nigeria with Father Simeon Omale and friends in the San Francicso Bay area. She enjoys reading, studying the exploding field of natural health, hiking, travelling, and spending time with her husband and adult children.
